The veteran should be able to feature in the Azzurri's WC opener...
Italy received some good news from their training session today as midfielder Mauro Camoranesi practised alongside the rest of his team-mates, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The player suffered a left-thigh injury on the verge of Marcello Lippi's final squad announcement on June 1, but the coach opted to stick with the winger, who has quickly recovered.
Camoranesi's swift return likely spells the end of any chance Cagliari midfielder Andrea Cossu had of making the bench. The playmaker was on stand-by in case Camoranesi or the also injured Andrea Pirlo were unable to play a part in the tournament.
The 33-year-old is now expected to be available for the Azzurri's opening match of the World Cup against Paraguay on June 14.
