The Azzurri have put the finishing touches to their plans for the Montenegro clash...

Italy coach Marcello Lippi has all but confirmed his starting line-up for the World Cup qualifying game against Montenegro later tonight, following this morning's final training session in Podgorica.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that the coach sat his players down on the pitch and spoke to them for 40 minutes, as he explained his tactical plans. Following the talk, Lippi chose a starting XI which could well be the team he goes with for the game. Unless there is a last-minute drama, the formation against Montenegro should be as follows:

Gianluigi Buffon; Gianluca Zambrotta, Fabio Cannavaro, Giorgio Chiellini, Fabio Grosso; Daniele De Rossi, Andrea Pirlo, Angelo Palombo; Antonio Di Natale, Vincenzo Iaquinta, Fabio Quagliarella.

The Azzurri trained for over an hour behind closed doors, but their training session was interupted by the Montenegro team who showed up and shared the Buducnost pitch with the World Champions.

The stadium is expected to be an 11,000 sell out for tonight's crucial clash.
