Italy striker Fabio Quagliarella has been rushed to a hospital in Athens after sustaining a broken nose during training...
The Udinese hit-man was involved in today's final training session ahead of the game tonight.
During the exercises, Quagliarella broke his nose after clashing with Gianluca Curci as he attempted to score a goal.
Azzurri doctor Enrico Castellacci attempted to mend the break on the pitch but the striker was taken to hospital to undergo a scan and further treatment, as he was in serious pain.
The extent of the injury is not yet known but one thing is for sure, the hit-man is likely to miss out on playing any role during the friendly against Greece in Athens.
It is unknown whether or not the Italian will be fit to face Fiorentina this weekend and, in any case, he is likely to be rested as a precaution.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team trained as normal as they were put through their paces.
Free kicks and set pieces were also practiced by the Azzurri. It seems as if coach Marcello Lippi will play a 4-3-3 formation, with Giuseppe Rossi alongside Luca Toni.
